Tauriko School Duathlon – Sunday 20^th March 2016

On Sunday 20^th March, Tauriko School PTA will be holding a Duathlon at The Lakes Boulevard, The Lakes. 

It’s looking to be a great event with the generous support of The Lakes Tauranga and Smiths Sports Shoes.

Entry is just $5 and the day is planned to start at 8.30am for registration, with race briefing and events starting at 9.00am. 

There are five categories ranging from preschool, through to 13 years and over. Not only will all entrants receive a certificate of participation, but for the more competitive entrants, medals will be up for grabs for the place getters of each year. 

Course maps are available on the PTA section of the school website here for those who wish to trial the courses in advance. 

For those that are ready to start practising, the distances for each group include:

9 and 10 yr olds	800 m	3km	800m
11, 12 yr and 13yr+ olds	1.6km	4.75km	1.6km

Please ensure the entry fee of $5 is included with your registration form.  Registration Forms can be downloaded here.  Pre-registration closes on Tuesday 15^thMarch, 2016. For Tauriko School students, please return forms to your class teacher.  For students outside of Tauriko School, please email your registration details to pta@tauriko.school.nzor drop your registration form into the Tauriko School office.  Entries will be accepted on the day of the event, prior to 8.45am. 

Sausages, drinks and coffee will be able to be purchased at the event.

In case of bad weather, keep an eye on the Tauriko School Facebook page, on the morning of the event.

Water Day for all students - bring your togs, towel, sunhat and a rash vest if you have one.

Fun activities all with a splash of water!

Don't forget to bring some money for the PTA Special Stall at lunchtime - sausage sizzle, ice creams..
